The main goal is for the girls to really learn what it is to write code. We'll get set up with (free) professional grade development environments, learn some core coding concepts through a little hands on practice. We'll then start to learn some syntax and vernacular for HTML, CSS, Javascript and finally React. The girls will learn where they can find the resources to read further on any programming subject or language, where to ask questions and how to continue developing their skills. By the time they're done they'll understand how to create and host their own personal projects, any time they're inspired to do so. 

At the end of the year, girls will present their work and then have the opportunity to job shadow CPI Security and see what they have learned in action. The job shadow will take place in June and will be two days a week, each day consisting of a 2 hour time frame.
